How to Clean Stainless Steel
How can I clean stainless steel without scratching it?
1. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl so that it’s not too soupy
2. Using a microfiber cloth, dip the cloth into the bowl
3. Use the dampened microfiber cloth and use it on any stainless steel appliance
Baking soda is also used to clean a refrigerator out or any is effective for breaking down grease or baked on stains.
Microfibers are the best cloths to use because they are the most gentle on appliances. Paper towels or rags can wear down the finish of stainless steel and can even scratch the appliance.
Things to avoid on stainless steel:
Avoid using bleach, steel wool, ammonia, oven cleaner, and scouring powders on your stainless steel appliances. These cleaners will wear down the finish quickly and may cause damage.
Many stores will carry a brand name stainless steel cleaner but baking soda seems to be the most effective, not to mention, you can find it in just about every household!
